Health IT Vision
The Current Landscape of health information exchange is uncoordinated and redundant as pictured below. Point-to-point interactions between healthcare providers break down and do not work beyond an enterprise or two in a scalable cost effective fashion. Alternatively, the Health IT Vision illustrates why a common health information infrastructure is a viable solution to address the various policies governing health information exchange among providers and Regional Health Information Organizations (RHIOs) and advance interoperability statewide.
