Research Scientist

Research Scientists perform basic research involving the formulation, conduct, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of scientific investigations of phenomena or problems with applications specialized in subject matter fields of the medical, biological and behavioral sciences. The work of a Research Scientist typically results in publishable contributions to the field under study. The state employs these scientists in a variety of environmental health fields at its Center for Environmental Health, and scientists from biological fields at its world-renowned Wadsworth Center research facility.
