Current Development and Implementation Status

Implementation

The legislation allows for New York State to develop an orderly implementation plan. The goal is for the registry application to be operational by January 1, 2008. Training for providers will begin in December of 2007 and continue throughout 2008.

An implementation plan for providers is under development.

Providers' offices will be mailed a brief technology assessment form to complete. This form will help assess technological capabilities, benefits or barriers to fitting NYSIIS into daily office workflow and preferred training methods for office staff. If your office does not receive an assessment form, you may obtain a copy by following the link below. You may mail or fax your completed survey. Follow submission instructions at the end of the survey form.
