Medicaid Disability Manual

The Medicaid Disability Manual was designed for Local Social Services Districts in New York State.

The Medicaid Disability Manual is arranged in three sections: Official Policy, Appendices 1 and 2 (Listing of Impairments, Adult and Children), and Appendix 3 (Medical Vocational Guidelines). Within each of the three sections, there are subsections. The titles are in bold print at the top of each page. Note that the Adult and Childhood Listings of Impairments contain the new Genitourinary Systems, Impairments that Affect Multiple Body Systems, Adult and Child Skin Disorder listings, Child Musculoskeltal listings and related criteria that became effective September 6, 2005 and October 31, 2005, respectively. Updates to the manual will be made periodically (see below, Medicaid Disability Manual Updates).
