Most Medicaid eligible people residing in mandatory counties are required to join a managed care health plan. The You have 60 days to Join a Health Plan or, for those people who receive SSI or are Certified Blind or Disabled, the You Have 90 Days to Join A Health Plan brochure will explain to you how to choose a health plan, how health plans work, health plan services, who does not have to or cannot join a health plan, your rights and what to do if you are having a problem with your health plan.
Family Health Plus
Family Health Plus is a public health insurance program for adults between the ages of 19 and 64 who do not have health insurance and are income ineligible for Medicaid. Health care in the Family Health Plus program is provided through managed care health plans. You must select a participating health plan when you apply for Family Health Plus in order to get services.
