The Committee also deliberates on issues related to the delivery of care in heath facilities and reviews position papers governing the need for, and extent of services, provided. None
August 27, 2010 Minority Health Council The Minority Health Council is charged by law with advising the Commissioner on matters relating to the preservation and improvement of minority health. The Council members are appointed by the governor with the advice and consent of the Senate. None
August 5, 2010 State Hospital Review and Planning Council - Special Project Review Committee The Special Project Review Committee reviews Certificate of Need applications involving construction, service changes or establishments. The purpose of the Major Medical Equipment and Appropriateness Review Committee Committee is to develop and review appropriateness standards (Part 708) for various services, evaluating high technology equipment and advising the Council on such specialized services as organ transplants. August 5, 2010 State Hospital Review and Planning Council - Full Council The purpose of the State Hospital Review and Planning Council meeting is to consider final action on amendments to State reimbursement rules and the State Hospital Code and to make recommendations on applications for the establishment and/or construction of health care facilities. The 31-member Council, appointed by the Governor, is responsible under the Public Health Law for developing operating standards for hospitals, nursing homes and other health care facilities. It also makes recommendations on applications for establishment of new health facilities and other matters pertaining to health care institutions. None
August 4, 2010 Elderly Pharmaceutical Insurance Coverage Panel The Elderly Pharmaceutical Insurance Coverage (EPIC) Panel has oversight responsibility for the EPIC Program, and meets quarterly to review the fiscal agent contract and program activities. None
