Infertility Demonstration Program

Description:

The Department of Health, charged with implementing this Infertility Demonstration Program, invited selected infertility providers statewide to participate in this program. Providers who agreed to participate are responsible for billing NYS for costs associated with IVF and GIFT, after patient co-pays and insurance reimbursement, if any, are taken into account. The program includes a subsidy for testicular sperm extraction (TESE) based on the services offered by the provider.
Requirements: Provider selection is based on published data on infertility providers in NYS (CDC's Assisted Reproductive Technology Success Rates).

Contract Term:

Current funding was awarded for the period April 1, 2008, through March 31, 2010. Continuation of this program beyond that period is dependent on the availability of funds.
